CENTRAL LIBRARY

The Central Library of the Institute was set up in the year 2001. Currently, it holds more than 11,000 books which can be classified under the following disciplines - Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Psychiatric Social Work, General Medicine, Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Radiology. It also has a good collection of books on literature, encyclopedia, computer, poetry, short-story, etc.  

The library is well furnished and has AC facilities. It has the capacity to accommodate more than 60 readers in a single sitting.  A separate section has also been set up to house about 300 journals and periodicals with provision for reading facilities. Books are accessed through Open Access System. The Library also has free internet facility for the students and staff. 

Journals: The Library regularly subscribes to more than 40 national and international journals in various fields of mental health care. National and local newspapers and magazines are also made available for the readers.
